1. The application form (See Attachment 1)
2. One original transcript of the highest academic degree diploma, verified with official stamps by the R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas Representative Office in the country of his/her original school. (One notarized copy of a translation in English or Chinese is necessary if the original diploma is not in Chinese or English.) Note: Graduating students may submit an official proof of current education as a tentative substitute at the time of application, but they must present the official diploma at the time of registration.
(1) Academic credentials from Mainland China: The Regulations Governing the Accreditation of Schools in Mainland China shall apply.
(2) Academic credentials from Hong Kong or Macao: Academic Credential Verification and Accreditation Methods adopted in Hong Kong and Macao shall apply.
(3) Academic credentials from other areas: Academic credentials earned at overseas Taiwan schools or Taiwan schools in Mainland China shall be regarded as the same as those at domestic schools with equivalent levels. Academic credentials referred in the preceding 2 subparagraphs shall be subject to the Regulations Regarding the Assessment and Recognition of Foreign Academic Credentials for Institutions of Higher Education.
However, academic credentials earned from schools or branches established in Mainland China by foreign schools shall require public notarization in Mainland China and be verified and examined by an institute established or appointed by, or through a private agency commissioned by the Executive Yuan.
3. One original official transcript of the highest academic degree, verified with official stamps by the R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas Representative Office in the country of his/her original school. 4. Two letters of recommendation (See Attachment 2) forwarded by the referees.

8. A financial statement: Please select one of the following methods of proof:
- One financial statement showing sufficient financial support for studying in Taiwan. The statement must be on the financial institution's official letterhead and mailed to NTTU in an official, sealed envelope.
- One financial statement showing sufficient financial support for studying in Taiwan. (It should be verified by R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas Representative Office in his/her country if the financial support documents are not provided from organizations or banks in Taiwan.)
- If the financial statement is in the name of someone other than the applicant, the person must also provide a sponsor’s letter declaring the intent to provide financial support throughout his/her period of study. (See Attachment 4).
- Proof of scholarship

1. On-line Application: http://isenroll.nttu.edu.tw/ Please upload the following application materials via our on-line application system before deadline (Taiwan time). Late submission will not be accepted.
2. Submit the additional documents by courier together with your application package before application deadline.
3. In addition to the on-line application, paper format application materials are also acceptable and please be sent before deadline via registered mail to: Center of International Affairs Office of Research and Development National Taitung University 369, Sec.2, University Rd., Taitung 95092, Taiwan, R.O.C.
Note1: Application package must be postmarked before the deadline of the application submission. Note 2: If the verification process cannot be completed before the application deadline, a signed Affidavit (Deposition of Admissions Documents to be Verified) (see Attachment 6) must be submitted with the application. At the time of registration, students must provide the original academic degree and transcript verified by a Taiwan overseas representative office, or by an institute established or appointed by, or through a private agency commissioned by, the Executive Yuan, If the related certificates cannot be submitted on time, the admissions offer will be revoked. 3. Admitted students should submit one copy of their passport and diploma and transcript verified (with official stamp/seal) by the R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas Representative Office in the country of their original school when they mail their acceptance letter. After this, an applicant is ready for enrollment. 4. When admitted students register at NTTU, they should provide proof of medical and personal health coverage insured outside R.O.C. with validity for at least six months from the date they enter R.O.C. If already being covered by the national health insurance of R.O.C., the admitted students only need to provide proof of the related insurance papers. The above-mentioned proof of overseas cover insured outside ROC should be verified by R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas Representative Office. 5. Applicants must be proficient in Chinese reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Admitted students who do not reach the proficiency level shall take Chinese language courses at their own expenses. 6. International Students do not belong to Teacher-Education Students. 7. If any defect is found in the students’ qualifications for application, or if any application materials are found at any time to contain inaccurate, false, or fraudulent information, inauthentic documents or do not meet admission requirements, the registered or admitted student in question shall be revoked of their admission to NTTU and be dismissed from the university. Students who have already graduated shall be revoked of their diploma. 8.The acceptance letter or admission notice does not guarantee visa issuance. Visas are approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 9. Any application matters not stipulated here will be processed according to NTTU regulations and the Admission Committee’s discretion. 10. Applicant must submit an original copy of medical examination report (including HIV Antibody Test) to the nearby ROC embassy, consulate office, or Taipei Economic & Culture Office when applying for visa. ※According to Article 18 of the “HIV Infection Control and Patient Rights Protection Act",“The central competent authority may impose examination measures upon aliens, citizens of the mainland China, residents of Hong Kong or Macau who have entered the country (border) and stayed for more than three months or resided, or require them to submit test reports for HIV antibodies of the last three months. If the test result is positive, the central competent authority shall notify the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the immigration office to revoke or annul their visas or permits of stay or residence, and order them to leave the country (border). Aliens, citizens of the mainland China, residents of Hong Kong or Macau who refuse to undergo medical examinations or submit test reports as per regulations of Paragraph 1, the central competent authority shall notify the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the immigration office of such cases to revoke or annul their visas or permits of stay or residence, and order them to leave the country (border)”. 11. According to regulations of Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Dept. of Health, Executive Yuan, R.O.C. (Taiwan), since January 2009 those who apply for resident visa for staying in Taiwan have to submit a medical report showing immunity to measles and rubella or proof of vaccination against measles and rubella.
