5. Financial statement A bank statement showing at least NT$200,000 (US$6,000) in savings deposit. Scholarship awardees shall provide proof of scholarship.

7. Taiwan Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) (if applicable)

8. Photograph In color and less than 6 months old, showing a close-up shot of the head and shoulders, and without wearing a hat.

Departmental Requirements
1. Language proficiency: Both Chinese and English proficiency certificate/proof required + Chinese Chinese proficiency certificate/proof (no specific level) Proof of having studied Chinese for at least 1 year(s) or other equivalent Chinese proficiency certificate/ proof + English English proficiency certificate/proof (no specific level) The suggestion of the acceptable scores are: EL 1119 C6, or IELTS 6.0, or MUET 180, or “O” Level English C6, 195 or TOEFL 550 (or 213 for the computer-based test). -- Not required for applicants from English-speaking countries 2. Documents required by department + Language proficiency certificate (please refer to the "Language proficiency") + Recommendation letter x 2 + SAT, 550 or above for the Verbal Section and 650 or above for the Math Section (SAT score is recommended but not required.)( if applicable) + Statement of Purpose
