I. CJCU Incentives for Overseas Chinese Students:
1. For newly admitted overseas Chinese students studying at the undergraduate level, a fixed subsidy of TWD $35,000 is offered in the first semester of enrollment.
2. From the second semester of study, following the regulations of scholarships, overseas Chinese students can apply for the University Scholarship (i.e. TWD $ 25,000 for each semester), or apply for the MOE Taiwan Scholarship (i.e. TWD $ 36,000 per academic year). To help overseas Chinese students studying in Taiwan, other funding programs and financial assistance are also available upon request.
3. For overseas Chinese students from low-income households, CJCU will offer work-study programs to help them complete their studies.
II. Important Announcement for Freshmen Students:
1. Newly admitted freshmen students are guaranteed an offer of accommodation.
2. CJCU is close to the Tainan High Speed Rail. Thanks to Taiwan Railway Shalun Line, CJCU is the only university in Taiwan with a dedicated train stop, offering easy transportation to the Tainan High Speed Rail station and the downtown Tainan train station.
3. CJCU is one of the member institutions of the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia (ACUCA), actively promoting international cooperation and student exchange programs with more than 80 sister colleges and 40 universities around the world.
4. Freshmen students are required to take labor education courses (including programs of labor practicing and training), and are required to take part in the jobs of campus cleaning and environment maintenance in the morning.
5. CJCU has the graduation threshold of English competence. Please refer to the website of the Language Education Center for further information.
6. As a Christian University, CJCU values the virtues of humanity and Church’s caring spirit.
III. Those students studying at the undergraduate level, who received five-year high school education in their home countries, should take at least extra twelve course credits on General Education apart from the number of credits required in the major.

1. Two copies of the completed application form, with a 2-inch photo attached (JPG).
2. Certification of highest-level diploma and a transcript of academic study. Please refer to the following Academic Credential Verification and Accreditation Methods (For documents in languages other than Chinese or English, a Chinese or English translation should be attached; original documents are required upon registration.)
(1) Academic credentials from The PRC: The Regulations Governing Accreditation of institutes in the PRC shall apply.
(2) Academic credentials from Hong Kong or Macao: Academic Credential Verification and Accreditation Methods adopted in Hong Kong and Macao shall apply. (3) Academic credentials from other areas:
(a) Academic credentials earned at overseas Taiwan schools or Taiwan schools in the PRC shall be regarded as the same as earned in domestic schools of equivalent levels.
(b) Academic credentials referred to in the preceding two items shall be subject to the Regulations Regarding the Assessment and Recognition of Foreign Academic Credentials for Institutions of Higher Education. However, academic credentials earned from institutes or branches established in The PRC by overseas schools shall require public notarization in the PRC and be verified and examined by an institute established or appointed by, or through a private agency commissioned by Taiwan’s Executive Yuan.
3. Verification of nationality or copy of valid passport.
4. An official bank statement (in Chinese or English) that indicates an account balance of more than NTD$200,000 (USD$6,500). The statement has to be issued by a financial institution and cannot be older than 3 months at the time of application.
**If the certificate is not in the name of the applicant himself/herself, a signed sponsorship letter (in Chinese or English) is required. In this sponsorship letter, the relationship between the sponsor and the applicant has to be stated and the support of the applicant’s expenses for the duration of the applicants studies in Taiwan has to be guaranteed.
5. An autobiography and study plan, written in either Chinese or English.
6. Two letters of recommendation.
7. Chang Jung Christian University Privacy Statement.
8. Other documents specified by the department or institute to which the student is applying. Foreign students who have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher in Taiwan and are applying to a master’s degree program or higher may use diplomas and transcripts from Taiwan rather than the documents listed in item two above. At the time of registration, a new foreign student shall present proof of a medical and injury insurance policy which is valid for at least 6 months from the date the student enters Taiwan.
Those who cannot present the proof above shall buy Overseas Student Medical Insurance. Current students shall present written proof that they have joined Taiwan’s National Health Insurance Plan. The abovementioned written proof of insurance issued in a foreign country shall be verified by relevant overseas agencies. Departments and institutes that accept students who lack strong proficiency in Chinese or the ability to understand Chinese-taught classes require these students to take Mandarin courses at the University.
The university that reviews the application documents without verification by overseas consulates, representative offices, agencies of the country or other bodies authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (hereinafter referred to as overseas agencies) or institutes established or appointed by, or a private agency commissioned by the Executive Yuan as prescribed in subparagraphs two of the preceding paragraph may request verification by an overseas agency. If the said documents have been verified, the university may request examination of the documents.

The application process can be completed by postal mail or email or by authorizing an ROC citizen to file on site on behalf of the applicant.

All fields must be filled out at the time of application, except for the local address and
contact phone number.
Three, two-inch passport-style photos should be attached to the application form.
Applicants are required to provide a valid mailing address that will be used by CJCU to
mail the notification of admission once their applications are approved. In addition, applicants need to provide their contact information, including a telephone number and an email address, in case they need to be reached by CJCU for any reason during the application process. Please be sure to log in the valid and accurate information in order to avoid any accidental loss of important information and notifications.
Application fee: None.
Remarks: Students will have their acceptance revoked if they are found not to have met
entrance requirements or to have used documents that are forged, altered, or otherwise fraudulent. If they have already been accepted for admission, they will be expelled and no academic credit will be granted for any studies completed. If they have already graduated, their certificate of graduation will be revoked and the university will report the cancellation of the degree.
I. Each applicant could have 3 choices. If the quota of the degree programs you choose is full, the choice is invalid.
II. Some Taiwan Overseas Representative Offices may require the applicants to submit the proof of Chinese Language Proficiency (for those enrolling in Chinese-taught programs) or proof of English Language Proficiency (for those enrolling in English-taught programs) for visa application. The following is the recommended language proficiency:
